" A simple hello can lead to a million things…. "
I was super excited to spend time with my Soul Sister yesterday and introduce her to the art of papercrafting! The hardest part for me in showing "newbies" is to not overwhelm them with ideas, as there are SO MANY techniques you can do! So I tried to keep it simple but add a few fun elements as well. Like embossing and using thinlets. (I LOVE my Big Shot!) It was fun to create this card together! You can create this card with your soul sisters too! Here’s what we did :
For the card base we cut Pear Pizzas at 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. The Whisper White Mat is cut at 4 and 5 1/4.
We used the Works of Art stamp set and stamped random dots in Tangerine Tango and Pear Pizzaz (If you dont have this, you need this one! Check out my pinterest page for TONS of inkspiration with this set!)

For the additional "elements" we cut strips of paper from Pear Pizzazz, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry. You can make them any width you like ! To make the "banner" we used the Triple Banner Punch. Use this punch for everything. I think I am addicted to Banners!
For the center elements we used the Big Shot! Using Whisper White, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry paper we ran them through the Big Shot using our Layering Circles Framelits and our Stitched Framelits! To give a little more "pizzazz" to our Pear Pizzazz banner we also ran this through the Big Shot using an embossing folder to give it some flair. The Big Shot really is a Big Deal. LOVE IT!
Using our adhesive and dimensionals we put it all together in a snap! Added a little button and some cording and voila! What a happy little card !
I was super excited to spend some time with my dearest friend and share my love of paper crafting with her. Isn’t that what friendships are about? Spending time with those we love doing what we love ?
