Everything is better in a mason Jar…..
Who doesn’t love mason jars? What is it about them that makes everything in them so much better? From canned fruits and vegetables to herbs to flowers.. oh and sweet tea! Mason Jars are the symbol of happiness. Do you agree?
I made this card using our delightful Jar of Love stamp set. There are so many different things you can do with this set. (be sure to check out my Pinterest board for inkspirational ideas!)
Now, I will have to admit, I did fussy cut the flowers on this particular card BUT we have matching framelits that will cut your fussy cutting time down in half. So, needless to say, they are on my next order. If you don’t purchase the matching framelits, that’s ok too! But I will suggest getting our papersnips as they will be your best friend making a card like this.
Want to make this card too? Great! Here’s how!
The base of the card is our Night of Navy Cardstock cut in half. Your base will be 4 1/2 x 5 1/2
The second layer is your DSP (designer paper) which is cut at 5 1/4 X 4
The third layer is Night of Navy CS again but cut at 4 3/4 x 3/3/4
The fourth layer is our So Saffron CS cut at 4 1/2 x 3 1/2
The last layer, which you will stamp on is our Whisper White cs cut at 4 3/8x 3 3/8

There’s a bit of matting to this project but don’t let that worry you. Matting is EASY. You basically start with your cardstock base of 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 and cut each layering piece either 1/8 or 1/4 shorter than the previous mat (whichever you prefer)You cut on one long and one short side of each card stock you’re matting.
Now the fun part! Stamping! I began by stamping the jar in our Basic Black Ink pad. Flowers need water right? I used Soft Sky for the water and then stamped the flower stems in garden green. I stamped the flowers on a scrap piece of whisper white and hand cut those out (this is where the framelits would come in super handy!) The flowers are a two step stamp so they appear to have dimension! The small flowers were stamped with Melon Mambo and the larger flowers were stamped in Daffodil Delight. The little staminas in the middle were stamped in Basic Black. After stamping the flowers I cut them using our inkredibly shart and pointy scissors (an absolute must have!) and using dimensionals I "popped" them into place! The burlap around the jar was stamped with Soft Suede and the string that is going around it was stamped in Early Expresso.
This as a happy fun little card to make. I’m making a stack of cards for the end of the year to give to my son’s teachers. I hope they like them!
Thanks for stopping by!
